Seven Springs (Epta Piges) is a cool natural oasis 18 miles from the island’s capital that offers a tranquil, refreshing escape from the heat of the day and the bustling crowds in the towns and on the beaches.

The magical area is full of lush, Mediterranean vegetation, shady trees, and a large lake formed by seven year-round springs flowing from the surrounding mountains. The leafy trees create a cool, shady retreat and the lake is a great spot for cooling swim. A 600-foot long narrow dark tunnel that was constructed in 1931 offers an exhilarating way to get to the lake for the brave-hearted, otherwise, there are easy walking paths to the water. There are also several hiking trails through the forests surrounding the lake.
