Review & FAQ:

Easily accessible from central Berlin by public transport, the Museum Village of Duppel is a great day trip destination for families. This is a true “living” museum where you can find out what it was like to live on a medieval farm during the 13th century and see demonstrations of ancient crafts. The village has been carefully reconstructed on the archaeological site of an ancient settlement and features authentic thatched wooden houses, a village green, pottery, grain store and blacksmith’s forge. Around the village there are fields and meadows where farm animals graze and orchards of apples, quince and plums, all of which were traditional fruits grown in the region. Drinks and snacks are served in a rustic tavern.
