Review:

Set on the border of Bohemia and Moravia, the historic town of Telc looks like something plucked straight from the pages of a fairytale. The main square is the town's principal attraction, and it has a somewhat unique history. After the entire city was destroyed by a fire in the early 16th century, the young ruler rebuilt the chateau and the residential buildings around the square from scratch in a stunning Renaissance style. Many of the facades were later updated to a pastel-hued Baroque style, but they're still wonderfully beautiful, and simply strolling around the square will likely be the highlight of your visit.
