A well-known resort town in the spectacular Bernese Oberland, Interlaken is a significant transportation hub for visitors who want to explore this part of central Switzerland. The most popular thing to do is take the train up to the Jungfraujoch, a spectacular alpine viewing point, but other possibilities include going on a steamboat trip across Lake Brienz, taking the funicular up the mountain behind the town, and visiting the St. Beatus Caves.
