Heritage Duck Pond Park is a quaint community park on S Ellison Drive in San Antonio, best known for its opportunities for families to observe and feed populations of urban ducks, turtles, and birds at its lovely duck pond.
Feeders around the pond dispense handfuls of food for 25 cents, though visitors should note that feeding animals outside food is strictly prohibited to ensure animal safety. A well-lit biking and walking trail welcomes visitors of all ability levels, including guests in wheelchairs and strollers, and is available for use by dog walkers.
Visitors can rent the park's covered pavilion for private special events, with event rentals requiring a minimum of four-hour reservations. Other amenities include a mulch-bed children's playground and a covered basketball court.
