Long Hollow Winery was the vision of country music star Stu Phillips, best known for his appearances at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry. The winery is operated today by second-generation family members Joel and Benita Phillips and is set on a beautiful estate meant to evoke the splendor of traditional European monasteries. Dry and sweet varietals sold throughout the year range from traditional Chardonnays and Merlots to popular American varietals such as Niagara, Concord, and Catawba. Strawberry and blackberry wines are also produced, along with highly-drinkable wines meant for food pairing. Winery guests can enjoy tastings Wednesday through Sunday afternoons, accompanied by a list of gourmet cheese and jelly pairings. A gift shop sells locally-produced goods and fine wine accessories.
