Highland Manor Winery is Tennessee's oldest winery, opened in 1980 by Rhonda and Frederick Moody. The gorgeous Jamestown winery and vineyard is located on the couple's Cumberland Plateau farm property, which is also home to a beef cattle operation and an apiary for the production of the Sawbriar Honey line. The company's lovely white table wines have been noted by prominent wine critic Coleman Andrews as some of the top white wines in the nation. Other wines sold include reserve Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Seyval Blanc varietals. All winery visitors can enjoy free wine tastings and tours throughout the week, along with opportunities to enjoy picnics in the winery's classic wine cellar. A large winery gift store sells products produced on the Moody farm, along with an excellent inventory of winemaking equipment and accessories.
