Riverview Park is a gem in the North Side of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Established in 1894, this park was around before Pittsburgh annexed the City of Allegheny in 1907.
The 259-acre Riverview Park is well known for having dramatic, steep hillsides and wooded trails, featuing an extensive trail network for horseback riding, jogging, and hiking. The park is home to many different amenities and facilities, such as the Allegheny Observatory, an activities building, a swimming pool, the two-mile Riverview Loop, the Mairdale watershed, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and a ball field. Outdoor movies and concerts are often hosted at Riverview Park during summer.
