Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:
Mellon Square is conveniently situated in the downtown area of Pittsburgh, making the unique park a great spot for a lunch break.
What makes this park unique is the fact that it was created on the top of a parking deck. The 1.37-acre Mellon Square offers a relaxing green oasis from the hustling and bustling of downtown Pittsburgh and was the first modern garden square built on top of a parking garage. First opened back in 1955, the square’s design was a forerunner for the rooftop gardens of today. The peaceful area features sparkling fountains and an elevated terrace.
