The Point State Park is conveniently situated where three different rivers meet, known as the “Golden Triangle” or “The Point,” and is designated as a National Historic Landmark.
The park is a popular place with locals for watersports, including kayaking, paddle boarding, and boating. Encompassing approximately thirty-six acres, the Point State Park is home to two of the city’s oldest structures, Fort Duquesne and Fort Pitt, along with the Fort Pitt Museum, which tells the story of the French and Indian War in western Pennsylvania. The park also hosts several events throughout the year, such as the Venture Outdoors Festival.
