The 600-acre Wildwood State Park consists mostly of undeveloped hardwood forest that end up on the high bluff overlooking Long Island Sound. Wildwood State Park campground has two miles of sandy beach for swimming. It offers full electric hookups, showers, restrooms, grills, water and sewer hookups and picnic areas with picnic tables and benches. Movies are shown to the guests during the summer. There is also line or square dancing in the evenings once a week. The park is a popular destination for fishing, hiking, sand volleyball, playing baseball or softball. There is a nice kids’ playground. There are rental cottages in the shade of the trees that provide year around accommodation. They can fit two to six people.
