Indian Island Park is located on 275 acres at the estuary of the Peconic River, in Riverhead, New York. The campground for 100 tents and trailers is open to individuals and camping club. There are restrooms and showers facilities. The park has one of the best picnicking areas in Suffolk County, offering picnic tables, benches, grills and spectacular views of Flanders Bay, playgrounds and hiking trails. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed. A short trail leads from the campground to the lovely sandy beach on the Flanders Bay.
