Jacques Torres (aka Mr. Chocolate) has always been interested in food and became the youngest chef ever to win the coveted MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) medal in Pastry. After many years of serving cutting-edge pastries and desserts at the prestigious Le Cirque in New York, Jacques realized his dream of opening his own chocolate shop and factory. His bean-to-bar chocolates and other decadent treats were almost instantly popular and today he has 3 outlets in New York, including ice-cream parlors. His wonderful chocolate creations are all made from the best cocoa beans available and no preservative or artificial flavors are allowed anywhere near his products.
