Saint Croix Island, also known to locals as Dochet Island, is a small uninhabited island near the mouth of the Saint Croix River in the heart of the traditional lands of the Passamaquoddy people.

Forming part of the Canada–United States border and separating Maine from New Brunswick, Saint Croix Island was used by the Passamaquoddy people to store food away from the dangers of mainland animals. The six-and-a-half-acre island measures approximately 200 yards by 100 yards wide, and while there is no public access to the island, a visitor contact station can be found on the U.S. mainland.
