Crescent Beach State Park is state-operated, public recreation area located eight miles south of Portland in picturesque Cape Elizabeth.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the state park was established in 1966 and features a spectacular mile-long, crescent-shaped beach which is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and sea kayaking. The park boasts different eco-systems ranging from white sandy beaches, grass-studded dunes and saltwater coves to rocky ledges and wooded areas, offering a variety of recreational activities for all tastes. There are also several hiking trails that can be used for exploring the park on foot, mountain bike or cross-country skis in the winter.
