Located about 12 miles east of Ellsworth in Hancock County, the Donnell Pond Public Land spread out over 14,000 acres in eastern Maine and feature spectacular landscapes of rugged mountains, pristine lakes, and remote ponds, including the Schoodic Mountain and Schoodic Beach.

Schoodic Mountain's summit boasts breathtaking 360-degree views and dramatic views over Frenchman Bay and Mount Desert Island, while the beach is perfect for swimming, boating, picnicking and camping. Other activities in the area include hiking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and wildlife watching.
