Celebrating the great athletic heritage of Oklahoma is the Territorial Capital Sports Museum. In addition to being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum has also been awarded with a State Historic preservation Officer’s Citation of Merit for its amazing contributions to the preservation of history. The museum boasts 13,000 square feet of exhibition space and houses numerous artifacts from famous athletes in various sports such as football, basketball, baseball, golf, and even the rodeo. See galleries dedicated to Oklahoma Heisman Trophy Award winners, celebrate Native American athletes, and visit galleries dedicated to inspiring women athletes as well. Managed by Coach Richard Hendricks, the Territorial Capital Sports Museum is a must-visit for sports enthusiasts.
