Historic Downtown Guthrie has always been a fertile ground for stories of spirits, sprights and ghosts. The downtown area is the background for many stories of broken hearts, mysterious happenings, and murderous intent, as can be witnessed by the bullet holes in the ceiling of the Bluebell Saloon or the shuttered windows of the Territorial Jail. As the visitors stroll through the largest historic district in the country, they can enjoy the classic architecture of the Victorian and Edwardian Era. They will hear stories of hauntings, sightings, and the unexplained happenings and if lucky, maybe even experience some of them. Each Guthrie Ghost Walk starts at the Apothecary Garden at the corner of Oklahoma Avenue and 2nd Street. Tours last about 90 minutes.
