It would be a great shame to visit Naples and not take the time to see legendary Key West. Driving from Naples to this southern-most tip of the U.S. along US1, which is widely considered to be one of the most scenic drives on the planet, will take four to five hours one-way.
A better idea for day trippers would be to jump aboard the Key West Express Ferry in Fort Myers. Stay overnight and visit the Oldest House Museum, stroll along famous Duval Street, have a drink at Sloppy Joe’s and definitely make time to savor some Key Lime Pie.
