Review & FAQ:
Located in the Southbank area, Jessie Ball DuPont Park is home of the Treaty Oak which is a marvelous tree under which, many believe, that settlers and Native Americans met to sign peace treaties. This rumor was based off of a fictitious story that was written by Times Union reporter, Pat Moran, in an effort to preserve the tree and its surroundings. Though there is not much in terms of amenities, you will find it to be a lovely place to have a picnic with friends and family. Facilities such as picnic tables, benches, night lighting, and parking are freely available.
