Review & FAQ:

For many years, the Pawnee people were the most significant power in the country's Central Plains region, and the Pawnee Indian Village Museum tells their story in a way you won't find elsewhere. Their walled village was inhabited until the early 1800s, and although it was completely abandoned, much of it has been recovered through archaeological excavation. In addition to seeing the excavated remains, visitors can also marvel at traditional artifacts like a star chart, a bison robe, and two sacred ceremonial bundles. The museum is open between mid-March and mid-October, and children under 5 receive free admission.
