Review & FAQ:
Hidden away in a rural area southwest of Wichita, the Lake Afton Public Observatory offers the exciting chance to explore and learn about the night sky. It's the proud home of a specialized 16-inch reflector telescope, and visitors are welcome to peer through the telescope in search of stars, planets, and even far-off galaxies. There are also some interactive astronomy exhibits and computers equipped with children's science games. The observatory is open to the public every Friday and Saturday evening, but the hours change with the seasons to account for the differences in sunset time.
