The Spokane Symphony is a professional orchestra that performs most of its concerts at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on West Sprague Avenue. Founded in 1945 as the Spokane Philharmonic, the 70 member orchestra was renamed the Spokane Symphony in 1962.
In addition to its regular concerts, the orchestra also plays SuperPops performances and offers two free park concerts (one at Liberty Lake’s Pavilion Park and the other at Spokane’s Comstock Park), and it accompanies the Nutcracker Ballet during the holiday season.
The Symphony offers a large variety of education programs including Education at the Symphony, Music Heals with Spokane Tribe, and elementary and secondary school programs.
