Review & FAQ:
Saddlehorn Campground is the only campground in the Colorado National Monument, with its towering sandstone and granite monoliths, vast plateaus and 400-500 foot cliffs. The Grand Mesa, in the park, is the largest flat-topped mountain in the world. The Rim Rock Drive climbs up high, where Bighorn sheep and eagles live, and affords travelers panoramic views of the canyons. Most of the 20500 acres are wild territory. There are no showers or electrical hookups in the campground and campers need to bring their own drinking water as the selenium content in the mountain run-off is too high for human consumption.
