Review & FAQ:
Rainbow Lakes Campground is located at the end of Rainbow Lakes Road, 57 miles northwest of Denver, at an elevation of 10000 feet. The road is the only access to the campground and is closed for much of the year. The Rainbow Lakes are 9 small ponds, a mile from the campground. They are stocked with rainbow trout. The Arapaho Glacier Trail starts at the campground which is also close to the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. There are 18 campsites, some of which require goods to be carried in. It is a primitive but popular destination, with no amenities, water or toilet facilities.
