Review & FAQ:

Mueller State Park is south of Denver and close to Colorado Springs. The 5000 acre park has a range of habitats, including meadows, forest ridges, massive rock outcrops and several ponds. Wildlife such as black bear, elks, mule deer and hawks, abound. The Visitors' Center, below Pikes Peak has a display of hand-painted panels of the surrounding mountains which enable visitors to get their bearings. The Rock Road trail starts at the center. The friends of Mueller State Park have regular fundraising events such as the Spring Art Festival and fine arts and photography shows. Pets are allowed in the park but not where they could encounter wildlife.
