Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

Roosevelt Park was one of the first urban parks planned as part of the Chicago-Colorado Colony, named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt's historic 1900 visit to the Longmont region. Today, the park is home to the St. Vrain Memorial Center, which offers a public auditorium, a gymnasium, and a multi-use pavilion which may be rented for private special events. The park's rose garden, which is located on the western end of the facility, was originally planted in 1945 by the Longmont Lions Club and serves as a veterans memorial. Longmont's Senior Center is also located within the park, along with a seasonal ice skating rink open to families during the winter months. Other park amenities include a children's playground, an activity and wading pool, a stone shelter, and a series of sculptures created by artist Michele VandenHeuvel.
