Just outside Glen Ellen village, visitors will find a 202-acre park with miles of trails. Sonoma Valley Regional Park allows biking, hiking, and horseback riding on the trails. A main trail (Valley of the Moon Trail) winds through oak woodlands and along a stream, while several unpaved, connected trails reach into the surrounding ridges and hillsides looping back to the main trail. Travelers with pets will appreciate Elizabeth Perrone Dog Park, which is an off-leash fenced area near the parking lot for dogs to freely romp. There is also a grassy area for barbecuing and picnicking near the entrance that is shaded by an oak canopy.
