Review:

Coast Guard Beach near Eastham, is one of Cape Cod's most beautiful beaches.

Surrounded by large dunes that slope towards the sea and are pounded by large waves, this is a great beach for surfing and boogieboarding.

Limited parking makes it more convenient to take public transport - there is a free shuttle.

There is also a boardwalk that runs all the way to the beach, making the access easier than climbing over the dunes, especially for families with kids and all the equipment they require.

While the waves might be too big for small children, this beach is a great spot to introduce them to the delights of boogie boarding.

Otherwise, playing ball, making sand castles, and collecting shells can be great fun.

Spotting seals is another enjoyable activity, as they can often be seen poking their heads out of the water. There is a lifeguard on duty during the peak season.
