Review:
With 8 acres of fine sand stretched along the Chesapeake Bay in Hampton, Buckroe Beach is a family favorite. The sand is soft and clean, and it slopes gently towards the water, so kids can play in safety. There is also a colorful playground to keep the kids busy if they get tired of building sand castles. The watchful lifeguard makes it possible for parents to relax and enjoy the sun without constantly checking on the kids.
During the summer there are outdoor family movies on the beach on Tuesdays or even live music concerts. Picnic shelters offer pleasant shade for picnics.
