Review:
Nestled in the Highlands of West Virginia, the Honey River Meadery is part of a cheerful small-scale family farm that produces its own honey as well as honey products like mead and beeswax candles. All the meads are made using raw, unprocessed honey and no sulfites or other chemical additives, and they're carefully aged for at least two years to ensure the best possible quality. In addition to classic white wine-like meads, there is also an excellent selection of meads made using both honey and locally-grown fruit. Tours of the property and the production facility are available by appointment.
