The Changi Museum is dedicated to the memory of everyone who suffered or died during the Japanese invasion of Singapore during World War II, and is essential viewing for anyone interested in military history. The museum offers 45-minute guided tours but you also have the option to rent an audio device and explore the museum at your own pace, listening to a poignant account of the actual experiences of some of the prisoners of war. The museum also offers two coach tours for those who would like a more detailed account of what happened during the occupation; the Changi World War II tour takes in all the key sites, while the Battlefield Tour covers strategies, plots, and mistakes that led to the fall of Singapore in 1942.
