Review & FAQ:
Jakobshavn Glacier resides next to the charming town of Ilulissat and overlooks the nearby Ilulissat Icefjord. This massive glacier is believed to produce almost 10% of the country’s icebergs and moves down the sea at around 60-feet per day. In fact, you can often hear the glacier creaking down the water as it floats away. Jakobshavn Glacier also has massive ice formations sticking up on the top of it providing you with a unique display of nature’s own artwork. However, it’s probably most famous for being the glacier that produced the iceberg that sank the Titanic. To view the glacier, visitors will need to hop on a boat.
