Feel at one with mother nature at this family-friendly, farming village surrounded by greenery and tranquillity. This small sheep settlement only resides 27 permanent inhabitants, yet it bursts with Inuit culture. While visiting the small land of Igaliku, the five-day hike is a must to appreciate the scenery. A trail that starts from Qaaqortoq leads up over the Redekammen hill, where old ruins of the aged church remain an iconic landmark at Hvalsey. The final stretch of the trail includes a trek towards the north from Igaliku which completes the hike with striking views of the Qooroq Icejford.
