If there is one thing that Dubrovnik has in spades, its historically and architecturally significant landmarks. Rector’s Palace is one such landmark. Erected sometime in the late 15th century for the governing elected rector of Dubrovnik, Rector’s Palace is home to the private chambers and office of the rector, public halls, administrative offices and even a dungeon. Today, the halls of the palace have been turned into the popular Cultural History Museum, where history lovers can come and experience the magnificent history of Ragusa. You can explore impeccably restored rooms, fantastic portraits, towering coats of arms, and even medieval currency.
