Cathedrale Sainte Reparate, or the Nice Cathedral as it is more commonly known, is a Roman Catholic cathedral which was initially built in the late 1600s but had continued renovated until 1949. The cathedral’s body which you see today is a part of its original 1650’s construction. The national monument was built over the remains of another cathedral, the St Mary of the Castle, which was consecrated in 1049. The Baroque interior has ten chapels which are worth seeing; some of the are dedicated to Saint Joseph, the Saint Rose of Lima, and Saint John the Baptist.
