Review & FAQ:
The Cathedrale Orthodoxe Russe Saint-Nicolas is the largest Russian Orthodox church in the world outside of Russia. It was built in Nice in the early 1900s as a way of accommodating the growing Russian community there. Even before you go inside the cathedral you’ll be amazed at the beauty of the cathedral’s exterior and its colorful onion domes. The interior is furnished with ornate decor and design that is absolutely breathtaking to witness in person. Be sure to take along a local guide for a more in-depth understanding of the structure and the role it played in history.
