The Primate's Palace, which welcomes visitors, was originally built back during the 1770’s in the Neoclassical style. The palace was constructed to be the home of the Archbishop of Esztergom, and later served as the residence of Slovakia’s president up until 1996. The highlight of any tour of the Primate’s Palace is the Hall of Mirrors. This hall is a series of five salons, with each one named after the color of the decor in the room. The Hall of Mirrors was where the Treaty of Pressburg was signed in 1805. The inner courtyard features a sculpture of Saint George slaying a dragon.
