At the historic core of the city of Bratislava is Old Town, a place where idle curiosity can easily take over, guiding visitors down airy, bright alleyways and out onto palatial squares. The historic area is small enough, however, where even if people get lost, they won’t have much trouble at all finding their way again. There are many things to see within Old Town, such as Baroque architecture and historical buildings, dainty fountains, plaques indicating historical significance of the area, and little idiosyncratic monuments. Several outdoor cafes and artisan shops also dot the historic center.
