Doug and Leslie Shoemaker, the proprietors of the River Bluff enterprise, own 16 cabins, clustered on their property along the Frio river and three lodges off-site. River Bluff Rentals manages several more, including a number of riverside cottages on the 50 acre Posada Del Frio ranch. The cabins are close to the town of Leakey, the Garner State Park and Concan. The latter venue provides opportunities for swimming and tubing on the river, birdwatching and playing golf. Adventures in the area include helicopter rides over the Frio Canyon, cliff jumping, kayaking, rock climbing and hiking.
