This is a working pecan farm. Eight varieties are grown in the orchards and the enterprise has won more than 550 awards for its produce. There are 11 vacation homes and 17 log cabins for hire on the farm. There is also a 7000 foot square pavilion available which is suitable for weddings, family reunions and other special occasions. Seating can be arranged inside or outdoors. The farm is also home to the wildlife and abundant birdlife that are attracted to the cool waters. Frio Pecan Farm Log Cabins hosts regular fundraising events such as the annual Chili Cook Off and Polar Bear Plunge.
