Pioneer Plaza is a large public park located in the Convention Center District of downtown Dallas that is one of the city’s top tourist attractions. The provides a focal point with the historical significance of the town, celebrating the trails that brought settlers to Dallas and commemorating Dallas' beginnings. The plaza boasts a flowing stream in a natural setting surrounded by native plants and trees, and a bronze sculpture of a cattle drive with longhorn steers being driven by three cowboys on horses created by artist Robert Summers of Glen Rose. Pioneer Plaza is next to the Pioneer Park Cemetery which features the Confederate War Memorial.
