White Point Garden is a 5.7 acre public park located at the southern tip of Charleston peninsula, at the point where the Cooper and Ashley Rivers meet and merge with the Atlantic Ocean. It is the southern end of the Battery, Charleston defensive seawall and promenade. White Point Garden provides incredible views of the two rivers, Fort Sumter, Castle Pinckney, and the Sullivan Island Lighthouse. This beautiful, wide open green space is also known for its turbulent history. Today, it is an ideal space for a shaded stroll under tall oak trees and palmettos. Here, you can experience a pleasant moment of respite from one of many benches or contemplate the city past while taking in the local monuments and markers that honor the park's distinctive moments in history.
