Located in Charleston’s historic Ansonborough neighborhood, Theodora Park adds a unique touch to a city world-famous for its historic buildings and gardens. With its imaginative integration of art and nature, Theodora Park is one of the city’s favorite places to rest, read a book, people watch, or just soak up the unique flavor of Charleston. In the heart of the park is a 32-foot-long fountain pool lined with handmade ceramic tiles. The fountain was created by the noted artist Paul Heroux. The park also has a gate, a stand-alone piece of art made by local blacksmith Philip Simmons. The park is considered a beautiful “outside room” of the nearby Charleston Gaillard Center.
