Located in the heart of Charleston and surrounded by some of the city's most prestigious buildings, Marion Square is a beautiful block of greenery and flowers between Meeting Street and King Street, frequented by the students from nearby College of Charleston as well as tourists taking a break from touring the city’s landmarks. From April to November, the square is home to the seasonal Charleston Farmer's Market that turns the square into a giant dining patio. Marion Square is permanent home to some of Charleston’s most important monuments such as the Holocaust Memorial and a statue of South Carolina native John C. Calhoun. Marion Square’s public bandstand is used seasonally for outdoor concerts.
