Located in the historic downtown Charleston about halfway between the Battery and Waterfront Park, Hazel Parker Playground is a great little neighborhood playground mostly known to the locals but rarely visited by outsiders. There is a dog park where dogs can run off leash, basketball and tennis courts, a ball field and lot of playground equipment. The playground has different sections for kids of different ages. The section for toddlers is gated so that they do not wonder off. A recreational building offers a range of activities at different times of the year. The park also has picnic tables with benches and a drinking water fountain.
