Enchanted Rock State Park is a lovely National Natural Landmark located approximately half an hour north of the city of Fredericksburg, protected as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark since 1971. The beautiful park protects the pink granite mountain of the same name, which is located within Texas' gorgeous Llano Uplift geographic region. Couples can explore the park's 11 miles of spectacular hiking trails throughout the year and enjoy opportunities for year-round recreation, including chances for rock climbing and stargazing. The park's mountain summit offers some of the best panoramic views of Texas Hill Country via the lovely Summit Trail. For couples looking to stay in the area on a budget, the park's designated campgrounds offer primitive and hookup campsites.
