Bryan Beach is a lovely coastal village located just south of the city of Freeport within Texas' Brazoria County, named in honor of 19th-century area pioneer James Perry Bryan. The village stretches along Texas' gorgeous Gulf of Mexico coastline and is home to the spectacular Bryan Beach State Recreation Area, which was opened to the public in 1973 and protects 878 acres of natural sand dune habitat. Visitors can explore the lovely recreation area and see native animals like grasshopper mice, opossums, gophers, and rice rats in their natural habitat. Shorebirds and migratory birds flock to beautiful Bryan Beach, which is a popular area spot for sunbathing, swimming, and kite flying throughout the year. Map
