The 696-acre Pine Grove Furnace State Park is located in Cooke Township of Cumberland County and is home to the Laurel and Fuller Lakes. Based at the northern tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounded by the Michaux State Forest, the protected Pennsylvania features many recreational and outdoor activities, including hiking the Appalachian Trail, mountain biking, boating, camping, cross-country skiing, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Facilities include boat launching stations, picnic shelters with picnic tables, a children’s playground, seasonal refreshment stations at the beach, and a campground.
