Pennsylvania Vacation Ideas

Things to Do in the Poconos, Pennsylvania
Plan a relaxing weekend trip to the Pocono Mountains and check into the stylish Ledges Hotel.
The largest city in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia has plenty of exciting things for visitors to see and do.
If you’re up for an underground adventure, I think you’ll be amazed by Laurel Caverns. You get to explore a huge calcareous sandstone cave right here in Pennsylvania.
I was blown away by the size—there’s a three-mile maze of tunnels, with ceilings that soar over 50 feet high and paths that stretch twelve feet wide. It’s actually the largest cave in the state!
Just so you know, you won’t be able to visit from November to April—they close it to let the bats hibernate in peace. But the rest of the year? You can go exploring to your heart’s content.
If you’re looking for a place that’s beautiful and easy to reach, I’d point you to Nockamixon State Park. It covers 5,000 acres and is one of southeastern Pennsylvania’s favorite escapes.
You’ll love visiting in summer when the park is full of people biking, boating, and just enjoying those peaceful views. I always find it a perfect spot for a relaxed day outside.
If you want to get lost in the woods in the best way, I say head to Cook Forest State Park. It’s 8,500 acres of mountains, hills, and creeks that feel like they go on forever.
You’ll be surrounded by some of the finest virgin white pine and hemlock in the country. I always feel so grounded there—it’s a must if you love nature like I do.
